ProtoGerms!

ProtoGerms! is a top-down 2d shooter where you are a prototype microbot exterminating germs and diseases but you have some system malfunctioning leading to glitches where you are unable to control some of your systems.

This game is part of the Universiti Malaya GameJam 2026 (UMGameJam 2026) unde the theme Losing Control.

Our game interprets the theme by having the player play as a prototype robot which suffers frequent glitches and breakdowns. Over time certain systems and mechanics are uncontrollable due to system malfunctions. Thus following the theme: Losing Control

The game also relies on chaotic movements and high density enemy waves which makes it feels out of control.
